On April 11, 2020 at the Orlovka aerodrome in Tver region unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) tests were conducted in order to solve problems connected with overcoming the spread and consequences of the coronavirus epidemic. Various operations were performed on an initiative basis using UAVs in the emergency area in conjunction with other participants in the Russian UAV market.
Within the framework of the National technological initiative IANS is developing a project “Creation of a digital and flight platform of the unmanned aerial systems test site” ("UAS site") as the lead contractor.
JSC International Aero Navigation Systems Concern (IANS) was awarded the contract to install the WINDEX-5000 Doppler Pulsed Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system for wake vortex measurements at Changi Airport. The contract was completed in August 2019. The system is a scalable solution that embodies IANS’ vast scientific research experience in the field of vortex aerodynamics, real-time spatial data processing and highly intelligent cutting edge technologies design expertise.
IANS took part in the international exhibition "Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC" held on 22-24 October 2019 in the Republic of Singapore. IANS presented the innovative developments in the field of flight efficiency and safety, meteorology and environmental situation control.A large number of Russian cutting edge technologies was also shown at the Russian booth with the support of the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation.
IANS has obtained a permanent observer status in Coordination Council Eurasia The 36th joint meeting of Coordination Council (CC) and Coordination Group of Experts (CGE) Eurasia took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 23 to 26 April 2019. More than 50 representatives attended the meeting.
The Air Navigation Committee of the Union of Aviation Industrialists of Russia chaired by Mikhail Kizilov held its meeting on November 29, 2018 at the test airfield Orlovka in Tver region within the Digital Sky: Time of Drones and Regions conference.
The agenda of the meeting: "Technologies for providing high-tech, innovative means of radio engineering and meteorological support for flights at regional airports".
