Vibroacoustic Control and Surveillance System TOPOT


The vibroacoustic control and surveillance system is intended for all-weather, round-the-clock automatic detection, identification, tracking, and measurement of coordinates and parameters of any moving objects on the surface of the controlled area. The system can be also used to protect the perimeter and extended objects from trespassing.


The functioning of the system is based on the recording of surface acoustic impacts within a wide frequency range using a distributed vibroacoustic sensor: an optical fiber installed in the ground at a certain depth along the expected area of impact.

Upon processing primary measurement results, a graphic indication of the propagating acoustic wave is formed. Based on the constructed wavefront pattern the spatial coordinates and movement speed of an object or objects creating vibratory impacts are determined, which makes it possible to automate the observation. The system can simultaneously detect several objects, provided they are separated from each other by a distance exceeding the spatial resolution of the system.

In the standby mode the system status information is displayed on the workstation monitor. When a warning signal is received, the monitor screen automatically displays video information indicating the location and number of the alarm zones. This information is duplicated by a voice message output.
